Manglik dosha calculator

Enter birth details to check for manglik dosha. The tool shows whether Mars falls in one of the manglik houses, counted from the rising sign, from the Moon and from Venus. It lists any classical exceptions and explains the result in plain English.

Birth details

How this works

A chart is called manglik when Mars sits in house 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 or 12. The API counts those houses three ways, from the rising sign, from the Moon and from Venus, and reports each one. Because three counts are checked, most charts are manglik by at least one of them, so the tool shows which counts found it.

Classical texts also list exceptions, such as Mars being the yogakaraka for the rising sign. The API lists every exception it finds but does not apply them, because astrologers disagree about which ones count. The rising sign changes about every two hours, so the count from it needs an accurate birth time.
