Horoscope API for daily Vedic horoscopes
Our horoscope API gives a daily horoscope for each of the 12 Moon signs, and a personal daily reading for anyone whose birth details you have. Both are Vedic: they count the planets from the Moon sign, not the Sun sign. The text is in plain English, and the same day and sign always get the same words.

}What the horoscope API returns
- A daily horoscope for each Moon sign (rashi) from GET /v1/rashi/{sign}/today: a reading of the Moon's position for the day, counted from that sign, and a reading for each slower planet.
- A count of the day's helpful and difficult transits, with vedha (one planet blocking another) already applied.
- Chandra bala, a daily rating from the Moon's position, and whether sade sati is running for that sign, with its dates.
- The day's panchang for the place you send: sunrise, tithi, nakshatra and more, so one call fills a horoscope page.
- A personal daily reading from POST /v1/reading/daily: the same transits read from the person's own Moon, plus their running dasha periods and tara bala.
- applies_to and not_claimed, which say who a sign horoscope is for and what it cannot say, so your page can say it too.
- Hindi text with lang=hi, and longer text with detail=expanded.
Sign horoscopes are for the Moon sign, the Vedic way, not the Sun sign most Western horoscopes use. A reader who knows only a Sun sign needs their Moon sign first, which POST /v1/planets gives from their birth details. The API writes daily horoscopes only. For a month or a year, the monthly topic readings and the annual forecast work from a full birth chart.
The rules behind it
Transits are counted from the birth Moon, not from the rising sign (TR-01). Each planet helps from some houses and hinders from others (TR-02), and a helpful transit can be blocked by another planet, which is called vedha (TR-03). The Moon leads a daily reading because it is the only planet that changes house every two or three days. Chandra bala rates the day by the Moon's house from the birth Moon; the texts disagree about three of those houses, and the API marks them as disputed. Sade sati comes back in dated phases (SS-01), and monthly readings follow the same transits (MF-01).
