Terms of Service

Last updated: Oct 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and API for Astrology ("we", "us"). They cover this website, your account and the Astrology API. By creating an account or using an API key, you agree to them.

1. Who can use the service

The service is for businesses and developers who build it into their own products. It is not for personal, family or household use. You must be 18 or older. If you sign up for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.

2. Your account and API keys

  • Keep your password and API keys secret. Never put a live key in a browser page or a mobile app; call the API from your server.
  • You are responsible for every request made with your keys. If a key leaks, revoke it in your account right away.
  • Test keys are for building and testing. Live keys are for your product.
  • Account owners are responsible for the people they invite to their team.

3. Plans and limits

Each plan has the rate limit and monthly call allowance shown on the pricing page. Most successful calls count as one call; a full report or an annual forecast counts as more, as the pricing page says. Over a limit, the API answers 429 until the limit resets. We never charge for calls over your plan.

We give at least 30 days' notice before we raise a price or lower a limit on your plan.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the service for anything illegal, or to harass or deceive people;
  • use the service where trade sanctions or export laws forbid it;
  • present API output as medical, legal, financial or psychological advice;
  • use API output to decide on anyone's job, loan, housing or insurance;
  • share, sell or publish your API keys, or use several keys or accounts to get around a limit;
  • resell the raw API as your own API, or copy the reading text in bulk;
  • use the API to build a competing astrology API;
  • reverse engineer the service (take it apart to copy how it works);
  • scrape the website or the public demo;
  • load-test the API, or test its security, without our written OK.

We may warn you, suspend a key or close an account that breaks these rules.

5. What you may do with API output

We own the API, its software and its reading text. While your account is active, you may use API output in your product. You may show it to your users, and store or cache it. You do not need to credit us.

You may not resell API output as your own data feed or API. You may not use it to build a copy of our text library.

6. Your users and their data

  • If you send personal data to the API, such as your users' birth details, you must have the right to do so.
  • You are responsible for telling your users how their data is used, and for getting any consent the law requires.
  • You are responsible for your product, what it shows your users, and any claims you make about it.

7. Astrology disclaimer

The API computes traditional Vedic astrology. Its calculations follow the rules stated in the rulebook, and its readings describe tendencies, not certainties. It is for information and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional.

Remedies such as gemstones, mantras and pujas are described as traditional practices. We make no claim that they work.

We work to keep the calculations accurate, but we do not promise that every result is free of errors. Astrology traditions differ, and the rulebook states the choices we make. Check any result before you rely on it.

You and your users make your own decisions. We are not responsible for any decision made using API output, including decisions about health, money, work, marriage or relationships.

If you show readings to your own users, tell them this too.

8. Support and service changes

  • Every plan is provided on a best-effort basis, with no uptime guarantee. We aim to reply to support requests within one business day.
  • If the API is down for a long time because of a problem on our side, we add free days to your plan. We do not refund money for downtime.
  • We may add, change or remove features, and change or end the free plan. We aim to give at least 90 days' notice before we remove an endpoint or make a change that breaks existing calls. Changes are listed in the changelog.

9. Payment and refunds

  • You pay for a paid plan at the start of each month or year. The price is the one on the pricing page. Prices do not include taxes.
  • A launch price shown on the pricing page applies to the payments stated there (12 months of payments for plans bought before the date shown). After that, the plan renews at its regular price.
  • Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • All payments are final. We refund money only when we charged you twice or by mistake. Try the free plan and test keys before you pay.
  • If a renewal payment fails, your plan keeps working for up to 7 days after the paid period ends while the payment is retried. After that, we move your company to the Free plan until it is paid.
  • Before you dispute a charge with your bank or card company, contact us. If you open a dispute without contacting us first, we may pause your account until the dispute is settled.
  • The details are in the Refunds and Cancellation policy.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or does not pay. We may also do so if it puts the service or other customers at risk. Payments already made are not refunded when an account is closed, by you or by us. After an account closes, we delete its data as the Privacy Policy describes.

11. Warranties and liability

The service and all API output are provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond these terms. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that output will be accurate or complete, or that it will suit your purpose.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage that comes from using the service or API output, or from not being able to use them. This includes indirect, incidental, special and consequential losses, and lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if we were told they might happen.

This applies to every kind of claim, whether in contract, negligence or anything else. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law does not allow us to limit.

12. Claims caused by your product

If someone makes a claim against us because of your product, your use of the service or API output, or your breaking these terms or the law, you will defend us and pay the costs, including reasonable legal fees. We will tell you about the claim and let you handle it.

13. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples are outages at our hosting or payment providers, internet failures, attacks on the service, natural disasters, war and government action.

14. General

  • These terms, with the pages they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
  • If a court finds part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
  • You may not transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our written OK. We may transfer them, for example if the service is sold.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and owe you nothing for them.

15. Changes to these terms

The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. For an important change, we email account owners at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
