Horoscope and panchang API for publishers

Publishers need fresh astrology pages every day: the panchang, horoscopes, festival dates and what is moving in the sky. Our API works them out for any date and any city, so a page for readers in Chicago shows Chicago times. No birth details are needed for most of it.

The Hindu calendar for one day at one place: sunrise, the lunar day (tithi), the Moon's star group (nakshatra), the weekday, and rahu kaal, a daily window traditionally avoided for new starts. Real output for New York, Oct 1, 2026.

How to publish a daily panchang and horoscope

  1. 01

    Today's panchang

    GET /v1/panchang/daily

The day's tithi, nakshatra, sunrise, rahu kaal and good times for your readers' city.

  2. 02

    Moon-sign horoscopes

    GET /v1/rashi/{sign}/today

A daily reading for each of the 12 Moon signs. It is not a Sun-sign horoscope, and it says so.

  3. 03

    A festival and fasting calendar

    GET /v1/panchang/month

A month page with each day's tithi, and that day's festivals and fasts.

  4. 04

    Sky events

    GET /v1/sky/events

Sign changes, retrogrades and conjunctions for a date range, with no chart, for news-style stories.

  5. 05

    Readings for subscribers

    POST /v1/reading/daily

For signed-in readers who share their birth details: the day read against their own chart.

Tips for going live

  • The daily panchang and Moon-sign readings cache well by date and city: one call serves every reader in that city.
  • Always send latitude, longitude and timezone. Without them, dates and times are for Ujjain, India.
  • The first calendar call for a new year and city takes about 8 seconds, and later calls are cached. Warm it up before a festival.
  • Traffic peaks at festivals, so fill your cache ahead of time and watch for 429 errors.
